Windows 7 CD Key

Most of the people, who install or update their Windows operating systems through downloads often forget to write down the serial key. Or, even if they do remember to write it down they can almost bet that they will misplace it.

Hence, to save you from all the heartache of not keeping that essential product key in the event of a system crash, let’s recover Windows 7 CD key right now and save it to an external storage drive such as, hard drive or at least a USB flash drive. Here’s the simplest way to do it:

STEP 1. Go to WinKeyFinder.com and download the Simple Keyfinder tool. It is a small piece of program of about 38K zip file. It is compatible with Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista and ofcourse with the latest Windows 7.

STEP 2. Extract all files. To do this double-click the zip file you have just downloaded and choose extract all files option at the top of the menu.

STEP 3. In the next menu that appears, find a place for Simple Keyfinder to extract files, and then click extract at the bottom right of the window. Make sure that the box is checked next to Show extracted files when complete.

STEP 4 You will see a new window listing the contents of the unzipped file. Double-click SimpleKey_Finder. If you see a warning screen, click on Run.

STEP 5. This will open command prompt telling you Windows 7 CD key.

STEP 6. Just make a note of it. This tool automatically creates a text file containing the product key in the same folder where you extracted it. By default, the file is named WinKeyFinder_found_Key.

STEP 7 You can save this file to an external hard drive or USB drive so you can use it later.

System crashes are very common, but now there is no need to worry about that you can restore operating systems.
